Brisbane Bus Lines have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated administration/store assistant to join our workshop team located at our Enoggera depot.

The Company: Brisbane Bus Lines is an established, Family-Owned Business with over 50 years’ experience in the bus industry. Located in Pickering Street at Enoggera we specialise in scheduled school services, local school & general charter, and Australia wide long-distance charter. We have a dedicated and passionate team who operate a diverse range of buses and coaches which are serviced by our specialist workshop team located in Pickering Street at Enoggera. 

The Person: The successful candidate must have rights to work in Australia.  You will be friendly and approachable with administrative and store experience, preferably in the automotive industry.  Our new team member will be computer savvy and appreciate the importance of attention to details when it comes to the development, review & maintenance of our database system.

The Role: This is a full time Monday to Friday position where we can offer flexible work hours between the hours of 7am to 5pm.  The successful candidate will be paid an attractive salary based on relevant administrative and store experience. 

The Duties:  The workshop administrator will ensure excellence in administration standards, records management, inventory control and respond efficiently to enquiries.  This is done with a high level of customer service towards both internal and external stakeholders.

The type of duties carried out on a daily basis include:

  • Order and receive stock.
  • Unpacking and checking incoming stock orders
  • Allocation of stock to expense account
  • Managing technicians' parts requests
  • Obtaining pricing and availability from suppliers
  • Creating purchase orders and work orders in workshop computer system
  • Workshop administration support
  • Review and maintain our database system.
  • Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and in order.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience in a similar work environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
  • Have a proactive safety culture
  • Have a positive attitude and team spirit
  • Have an eye for detail and take pride in your data input
  • Understand the importance of completing paperwork
  • Hold a current drivers licence 
  • Hold a current forklift licence or be willing and able to obtain one
  • Have hands on experience in a workshop environment.
