School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS)

What is the School Transport Assistance Scheme?

The School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS) is a Queensland Government program that provides either full or partially subsidised travel costs for eligible students using our network. Eligible students are entitled to fully subsidised travel to their closest state school. However, if they attend a school other than their closest state school, they may need to pay an additional fare to cover the extra distance beyond their subsidy.

Students who do not qualify for STAS are still welcome to use our school bus services, but must pay the full fare for their travel. To apply for STAS or to register your child with us, please download and complete the form below.
